So, why is crater lake so blue? It must have been pretty cold if even Olivia was cold!

Roxanne, the blue color of Crater Lake is caused by the bacteria known as Penicillium roqueforti. See http://www.roguecreamery.com/product.asp?specific=95 for more information.

Oh, and maybe the blue color could be due to the extreme dept of the lake.
