Last weekend Chris' parents road-tripped from 'rado to Yosemite. We met them there on Thursday night, an after-work drive made that much easier by having a tent set up for us when we arrived (thanks mom and dad!).
The weather was
unseasonably crappy so we had to get creative as the monuments of Yosemite Valley were cloud covered for much of Friday and Saturday. As you'll see, there's more to Yosemite than Half Dome.
The Merced River with Yosemite Falls...almost a scroll painting.

Mariposa Grove
Telescope Tree. Yes, you can walk into the middle of the tree and look up, through the tree. Amazing.
Clothespin Tree
Fran teaches Chris a thing or two about making a fire while Olivia tries to stay dry and warm under our make-shift awning.

More Mist Trail
Even more Mist Trail

Oh macro setting, where would I be without you?

hi-
yes, it took a little improvising, but it was fun, nonetheless! Kind of reminded me of a few trip into Wild Basin in Rocky Mountain..........
love, mom
